Dancetech-Thomann Music Store - About the store & FAQ's
What do I need to checkout before buying ?
Ok, we discussed all the various warranty details with Thomann and they are very comprehensive... Anything you buy from Thomann through the Dancetech-Thomann Store is the IDENTICAL same price and has the IDENTICAL same warranty as if you bought it from Thomann without going through Dancetech - Shipping and everything else is identical. You are NOT getting any different service by going through us... Basicaly, this store is a Dancetech 'in-house' price/search catalog of the Thomann store, which allows you to click thru and buy anytime you like just as from inside the Thomann site!
IF you buy through this store you are helping to contribute some funds to Dancetech which will help us to keep on providing good FREE stuff to the readers such as FREE on-line music-tracks & mix space for your music files.
You can read about all Warranty & Return details & other FAQ's in-depth in the rest of the FAQ page menu... But here's some
general things to think about before buying.
First off all, Thomann are a huge dealers and offer various 'Money-Back' deals... They even offer a 'money-back' deal on SOME goods you buy even if they are NOT faulty and you simply ordered it and changed your mind! - Now THAT type of offer (money back with no product-fault) is ONLY offered on certain popular goods. Please check on the item you're buying with Thomann IF you think you MIGHT want to change your mind after the goods arrive, (and no that doesn't mean you can open it and use it and then send it back for a refund!) :)
Generaly, it's kinda stupid to buy something you 'might not really want', so checkout the status of the goods you are buying for that type of return if you might not be sure... All in all, 20+ years of buying equipment has taught me the importance of making the
RIGHT purchases, and this can often be hard for the newbies, so here's some thoughts & tips...
When you click through to add an item to the Thomann purchasing cart from the Dancetech-Thomann store, each item in your Thomann purchase cart has an accompanying link to the Thomann site product page... You will also find a Thomann product-page link on each Dancetech-Thomann Store 'Product-Details' page - Check this to see
exactly what the warranty is.
All Thomann purchases come with the usual manufacturers' warranties, but some goods have extended or longer warranties! - One thing I do like about Thomann is that unlike some dealers, when a product is returned as faulty, then for SOME popular products they will mail out a replacement straight away rather than 'send it back to the manufacturer for repair' - For other goods which are not so popular Thomann have 6 in-house service departments to turnaround repairs quickly without having to 'send them back to the distributor for repair' as many other shops do - That is good because it means your goods will be back with you as fast as possible even if a repair IS required.
Ok... so for many popular items of gear you can get a replacement or refund if you didn't buy the right thing - but really, wouldn't it be
BETTER to get your purchase right the first time, and get the right tools for the job?
As mentioned, you can checkout the warranty details in full via the product-page link in the Thomann purchase cart or on the Dancetech-Thomann Store 'Product Details' pages... If after this you STILL are not 100% sure about wether the goods you are buying are covered by any additional 'special' warranties, then simply check with Thomann FIRST before purchase online by emailing them or calling them.
Please call Thomann's customer support on: (+0049) 9546 9223 55/56 - (add 0049 if calling from Britain otherwise check the code for Germany from your European country of residence), or write a short email to: info@thomann.de - Thomann will then clarify everything for you prior to purchase.
General buying tips
ALWAYS make sure that the gear you are going to buy is suitable for your needs!! - This is a rule of thumb in the home-studio scenario and REALLY important for newbies!.... Alot of shops, especialy the big box-shifters, hire 'commission-based' staff who simply might sell your anything to get their commission, and might be inclined NOT to give you any advice which might loose them a sale... Thomann turn over something like 30 million a year so they don't work that way - Newbies especialy should really make sure that the goods they are buying will be best for their intedned use.
If you are in ANY doubt about the suitability of goods you are thinking of buying, then post any questions you might have on the Dancetech forums!... discuss your intended purchase with the regular dancetech readers... Between them there is a mass of experience and you are sure to get some good advice or suggestions as to better ways you can work with your intended setup, and what other goods might be more suitable. - Dancetech staff check the forums all day, and if you aren't getting any advice from the readers, we will put you in contact with a Thomann product specialist to answer your questions.
So general rule of thumb... ALWAYS checkout that what you want to buy will do the job you want it to do!... Use the Dancetech forums, use other www forums, get reliable opinions and finaly if in any doubt, mail us so you can be put in contact with a product specialist!
If you have any further questions, please post to the Dancetech forums and/or send an email to:
