hello my name is chris. And I love and have built your dual 15" w-bin acbinet for my d.j. biz, and am quite satisfied. however my next quest is to build the dual 18" design. the only problem is that I am from the U.S. And I do not know metrics. Do you have an english conversion for this construction?

This Martin Horn looks like fantastic fun to build. Althought i see it labeled as for 2 x 15" but i can only see space for one! Mistakes aside, i was just wondering, what is its intended purpose? Its for Bass, Bass & Mid, Mid? There is nothign written anywhere about frequency responces and things.

Big but still good horn, goes deep but can need some help with the lower mid bas..

i started with using eminence kappa 15 but they didn't keep up with deep bass, so i got 2 kicker comp VR 15" (long throw driver), mutch better, no problem to get your pants shake on the dance floor, but not shure if they last so long if you push them all day long in sevral months.....

Best used in pairs or x 4 in a stack. Two of these (wheels on bottom) are much easier to handle than the
original 2x15 version, and better bass than the later low profile 2x15. The classic Martin rig would have a 2x12
mid, either direct radiator angled or the later 'philishave' (horn-loaded) 2x12, with 2" compression driver horns,
usually JBL 2441 on Martin flares. Very early rigs did not use a mid speaker and went straight to horns at
around 500Hz - not fi! Oldie but still effective I imagine!

I've redrawn these plans,
I can't build anything at the moment but I enjoy reconstructing them in CAD software, so that I can print out blueprints when I'm up for the job.
if you'd like a clear copy in PDF format,
please e-mail me.

.
THANK YOU !!!!

Ran 12 of these in my youth during the 80's in rock bands around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. STILL have not found anything that even comes close to their punch !!

I've been sitting on a stash of 40 sheets of Baltic Birch for over 17 years, just waiting to find a set of plans.....
