This is to you lame asses who are voting for yourselves regularly

dont ask my why it gets me, but it DOES. I just had another track drop off the chart here because I LET IT. I dont have some fucking crew out there voting for me..and you chumps that do..it is SO fucking obvious

whats your deal? you know who you are..all of you with what...3-4 songs in a row? are you THAT pitiful? does your life suck that badly? is your dick that small? do you need that much bolstering of your ego?

WHY NOT JUST LET IT REST AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS? Dont you think that if your shit is truly good itll get the attention it deserves? No, it wont stay up there. Im sure of that...because that shit fluctuates. That was the original intention at least, but there are quite a few of you who for whatever stupid sad pitiful reasons insist on voting for yourselves. TO WHAT END? huh?

I know someones gonna say Im jealous, so I say FUCK YOU preemptively. and get a fucking life.

and some of yoU REALLY need to work on your production skills cuz the shit youre trying to pass off as "finished" sounds like crap.

cool! [the vote revoker...]

Thanks for that, k!

BTW I really don't think that all(!) of Place Saint Come songs are pretty good... I'm sceptic about that...

I think there's no people who loves _all_ music (with the same level) from an artist, except the one who made it... :-) [or the mother or girlfriend of the author. :-]]]

well mate, i had a listen to your stuff and you've got some good ideas with the synth parts, but the drums are a real let down for me.

Hope you dont mind that critique?

Perhaps you need to get into your drums more and bring the rest of the parts to the drums to find your niche. alot of what you do is very 'Trance' in the sounds, but the drums are more techno sort of... I could hear your stuff faster with a more trance emphasis, where I think it'd work well

can I ask you something btw - as a member of Soundclick, how does it work for adding lo-fi and hi-fi files?

do you simply upload a single hi-fi file and then it gets turned into a lo-fi file by the site ?.... or do you have to upload a lo-fi AND a hi-fi file?

I couldn't find anything about that in the FAQ

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

hmm... cos mp3 tracks encoded FROM another mp3 track give the worst quality... compared to encoded from original .wav etc

i wonder if they manualy re-encode uploads or use some server procedure

I think its a server thing because when you upload a 128 it says "encoding lofi please wait"

Well, I guess 24kbps is so damn lo-fi that it doesn't really matter if the source was the original or a 128kbps. Also, their conversion seems to work on VBR stuff.

BTW k, I wanted to ask this earlier already, would it be a big hassle to add ogg vorbis support to the site? I mean what if we could upload ogg instead of mp3 as an option? I know its not as popular, but

1. sounds much better at low bitrates
2. encoder is licence-free
3. most players already support it
4. can be bitrate-peeled, so that you can convert a 128kbps ogg into a 24kbps without the transcoding quality loss

yep, OGG is much better in low bitrate.

k, about my drums:

[or is this comment not addressed for me? :]

I used the "classical techno beats" in several songs released for the PC demoscene about 5-6 years ago.

Now, I'd like to search (and use) another interesting and not so boring drum patterns (sorry for the techno lovers, I was a techno lover too, but hey, we are in 2004... :-]), like "the classical 4/4 bum-bum", bcoz its sooooo boooring for me in the most cases. [but there're some exception, ofcoz]

Hmm, that's it :], thats my current style (I know its not so generic), I'd like to create drums especially for a song without any predefined idea or genre, and I don't think that my songs are really fit with the trance style, except some elements of course, bcoz this is a strictly electronic music.

So, finally, maybe you're right, and maybe not, but currently I don't want to change my songs into generic trance style. BTW, hopefully you're the first who really don't like my drums.   [mmmm, more exactly: you're the first who told me... :-]

Best,
woland ex

Hi all,
Just thought you'd all be amazed and flabberghasted at the fact that this thread is a googlewhack for 'hyena mailshots'.
