Do any uQ owners actually use more than just the first 4 instruments?

I'm just curious because whenever I want to or try its always the BIGGEST pain in the ass to set it up...then i'll have an instrument copy over there then i'll have midi problems etc etc..

I don't see a difference between the first 4 parts and the rest except for the FX possibities.
I use a multi with midi channels 1-16 for the 16 parts as starting point.
May it be that you have problems because several parts in a multi use the same midi channel ?

yeah, no worries from my end... I rarely use more than 4 instruments just because I like to use multiple synths in my trax... but when I do, I have no problem

Alot of the time I get problems with instruments copying instruments like for example, instrument one will copy to instrument 5 etc..

I don't think I've ever used more than 4 instruments ever

I find it more of a pain to use more than 4 instruments on the keyboard version, cos it's more steps involved when you want to change the patch/es triggered by the keyboard. At least with a controller kb, you can just change MIDI channels and you're there. Unless you have more than one part on a MIDI channel, which I usually don't. I still don't like having to decide which parts are going to get the prime slots, and which will have to give up their fx2 settings, but I guess it's teaching me to be more selective and precise with my sounds.
