Original Message 1/8 20-Sep-03 @ 07:58 AM - Storing on Virus Rack
I'm having trouble understanding the storing system on the Virus Rack (classic to be specific)
I normally set up multis and work from there. What I want to do is save a patch while in multimode. Is this possible? And if so, is there a command to save all programs at once in the multi? (similar to novation's "update all programs" selection)
I read the manual and it's not very specific on storing.
Thanks in advance!
(I hope someone around here has a Virus rack...maybe it's the same on the desktops too?)

I just talked to a guy last night who has a Virus C KB and he says he only uses it in single mode!?!?!

I never use single mode, just multi. Use the parameter < and > keys to change slots. Select slot you like. Hit Edit to edit the slot parameters (MIDI channel, outputs, etc). Hold down multi, and hit single. Now you're in multi-single mode, which is more or less like editing in single mode. You're now editing the patch that lived in the slot you were looking at in Multi mode.
In multi-single, you can also use parameter < and > when not in a menu to switch between slots.
Among other things, this lets you tweak a patch in a multi while the rest of the multi is playing ;-) Most helpful.
