What do I need to do in order to get my Roland JV1010 to play my midi files the right way?
Currently, the midi files play the wrong instruments. ie. A trumpet sounds like some other instrument.

Please help.

I assume you mean GM midi files? If so, just set it to GM mode

Do you have it hooked up to a computer? Which sequencer are you using?
