I have two Roland XP-30 synthesizers. How do I
make them to share the exactly same setup (all
system, performance, patch data, etc.)
I tried to MIDI out from the master and MIDI in
to the second (slave). I can see MIDI message
been sent out, but in the end, there is no
difference on the receiving synthesizer.
Is there any switch I need to turn on to make
the slave XP-30 start to receive the MIDI bulk
dump from the first one?

If you can do a "global" bulk dump with the xp30, then just hook up the MIDI out of the giver to the in of the receiver, set up the receiving unit to receive a bulk dump, and then set the giver to send said global dump. That should be all there is to it
