Just wanted to let all you uQ users out there that Emagic's SoundDiver has a
BEAUTIFUL Graphic Interface for the uQ. Every little parameter is laid out. It
makes programming it much easier. Anyways, they came out with an OSX beta
version thats free for Logic users.
So if you have a lot of outboard, SoundDiver looks like a hell of an
investment (Especially uQ users), if you arent a logic user.
Anyways, peace ya'll
-Mike

SD is now free for logic users? wow.

funnily enough, i never use it for the uQ... i'm still much faster on the matrix/buttons/knobs than with s/w... plus i'm not sure if SD displays all the parameters correctly when you open a sound for editing (when not starting from scratch i mean)... at least in my version (3.0 on pc)

but yeah, its a wicked program, for sure.

I don't trust Soundiver anymore. Last time I used it, it wiped out all of my user waves and patches on my MW. Years of tweekage gone. I had to bust out Wav2uWave. It was locking up on my old machine something ferocious, and this was the proper $300 proggie, not some crack either. I still love Logic, but SounDiver is on my shitlist for now. While it was running, it was an amazing editing tool, but I never used it for much besides a librarian because I prefer twisting knobs and pushing buttons to playing with a mouse.
