I would like to know how is the best way to record my bass on the Tascam 414. I've had quality issues with the recordings.

well, porta's do lack bottom end clarity, not hugely, but... compressing your bass before recording would help alot to keep it defined, tight & level, so a small comp unit is well worth a shot such as nanocompressor

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
