I have a Creamware MiniMax ASB since a week. Sounds good:

Fast Max

Heavy Max

Drums from Spectrasonics Stylus.

Hi Milan,

The MiniMax is a cute little VA, still not quite a Moog, but good sounding, built like a rock, light weight, affordable. I like it. Imho one of the more convincing emulations. It's rather hard to get aliasing even when using FM, and the badwith limitations that are typical for some VAs are nearly unaudible.

kewl!... i must say, those creamware Klangbox units look interesting, no-one ever mentions them tho... The whole Creamware system and it's miriad of bits is so esoteric, you never hear it mentioned almost but people must support it or they'd be bust

jesus., that Heavy Max is great, very nice..... so this works as a total standalone yes?.. no need for any other creamware stuff i assume

The ASB units (dektop versions and Klangboxen) are standalone synthesizers, just like Virus, microQ etc.

They are delivered with an editor for PC and Mac however because some minor important parameters can't be accessed from the front plate. Such like note priority, pitch bend range and a few effect parameters.

I'll second that

Silly and sinister - rare combination. One moment it's all squint eyes/chest out/horizon gazing, the next it's giggles and gurning.

Especially liked those gutteral stab-like sounds about 4 5ths into Heavy Max.
