Ew, crazy stuff dood. Mixwise, it sounds ok to me just caotic halfway through  . Did you play / multitrack everything yerself?

yeah the missus finds it a bit too chaotic too, but hey that's me

and yup played everything myself exept for the drums (i thought it was quite obvious)

So any pointers as to levels or annoying frequency or anything other than the actual 'composition' you think needs fixin'. It's as i'm not able to tell anymore

thanks for listening

Ooops, what instruments have you used?

It's not a synthetic song  .

The mixing is OK for me, about 2:00 there's a really chaotic part  , but I rarely listen rock like stuffz, so my opinion is not so relevant.

The part from about 0:40 is definiately good IMHO.

Wow, delicious and gut-twisting! I especially liked the copy-n-paste feel of the first four riff. Drums sound great to me, the guitar part might be a tad "muffled", but I guess you have a low-pass filter (or a low shelf) on that right? And anyway the hihats would conflict with the highs in the guitar so...

I would try to add a very little bit of high end to the gutars, just to make the sound more up-front, otherwise it the mix is pretty darn good. Hmmm, just as an experiment, I'd play around with the drum room sound (is it only an overhead, or several mics?).

cheers,
Rags

Thanks for the listen Woland. Although it's not synthetic, the more i play the guitar the more i feel it's ressemblance with an oscillator, i wish i had a 111w Marshall, then i'd really show you self-oscillation

Rags hombre, so many thanks for the pointers !! I have indeed cut a lot from the guitars at both end : a clear low cut around 100 hz and clear hi-cut at 12000 hz, a little notch around 300 hz.

So you think i over did it? I'll have to experiment, i really thought i had hit the sweetspot.

I still have some parts to expand and maybe some chaos to tame a bit

hey,

Drums sound a bit weak but the guitar and basses sound pretty cool.

Song doesn't have any direction though. Thats all I can say.

yeah, not much direction, pretty much a collage. Directions tend to lead nowhere imo, unless you want to make a product they're not mandatory.

Thanks a lot for the listen, i'll see what i can do about the drums (althought i thought they sounded fine...) I just figured how i could easily use thos buses, so'll see if i can beef it up with outboard, for fun.
