right... so it looks like i'm building soon and going for a core 2 duo system at that.

whats the right wattage to go for?? i dont play games, probably going for a low end 256mb card.

is 350w enough? 400w?

want to get something quiet so the price goes up quite a bit with rise in power... cheers.

okay... these guys tested a mighty E6700 system and found it uses 225w under full load. so i guess 350w should do me fine, since it actually fits into my budget

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

it's prolly good to overbudget, any firewire or add on's draw power, the less the P/S is working the less the fans need to suck (if they are variable)
