DR009 brings Affie Yusuf back to Disport Records after his ‘Funki Saki’ remix on DR008. As we salute and say thank you to Luke Gibson we make way for some more Deep, Tech Fuelled House Music from the London based producer who needs no introduction into the House music scene. First releasing on vinyl in 1993, running Tragic Magic Records with long time partner, House of 909'er Trevor Loveys and is part of the Machines don't care collective.

The title track ‘Jack Skoolin’ sees Affie take us through a medley of Old Skool hits and Acid Bass lines. On a primitive tip, ‘Jack Skoolin’ rolls through with a groove to rival any Amazon Tribal dance.

Refusing to conform to musical trends and fashion ‘Eat 303 E’s & Suck my Coke” in title alone is evident of Affies approach to keeping it true to what he loves and delivering from the heart and this gourmet slice doesn’t change a thing or does it disappoint. As organic as they come this record defines sleaze in the way we all know and love. This is an Acid House / Filtered Funk hybrid.

Jay Robinson steps up as the first of 2 remixers on this EP with his take on “Eat 303 E’s & Suck My Coke” and delivers with a bang as he turns out the most driving mix of the package. Taking no prisoners this stomps along wrapped in the most infectious of Bass lines.

Jay is no stranger to a release schedule or the airwaves as he’s graced with his presence the likes of Kissy Sellout & Jaymo & Andy George, as well as a guest mix on the Annie Nightingale show, all on radio One.

Jay has propelled his way to notoriety with remixes and original productions on labels such as Southern Fried, Trouble & Bass, Dim Mak and Simma to name but a few. With support from Radio One these productions have found their way into the sets and playlists of some of the world’s biggest names, with Armand Van Helden, Moby, Fake Blood, Laidback Luke & Herve all regularly championing his tracks.

LA Whore has ventured down from Northern Pakistan and the illegal party scene to Close this EP. A solid kick and relentless bass line bounce from start to finish. Awash with bleeps and squeaks in all the right places creating an atmosphere that accompany a haunting vocal hook in a match made in dance floor heaven.
