well if i put it in the music tech forum it'd be buried.. and for some reason some people's logic seems to make this the forum for sequencers.. sooo..

http://www.skale.org/
http://webmassiva.com

both are free sequencers you can do all your stuff on. enjoy.

hardware MIDI sequencers are really only useful for live/gigging IMO. or for those frustrated or anti-PC. :-)

software is so powerful and easy to use, makes it seem useless for the manufacturers to build the perfect / all-out hardware MIDI sequencer. only a small number of people like you and me would buy it. :-/

I prefer to compoise on hardware and arrange and record in software.. A box with knobs and switches and blinking lights is more inspiring to me

I'm with you Craig...

I write everything on HW... Probably the last EM on earth using a HW sampler in the studio. hehehe

record and master in the computer... but I HATE sequencing audio loops in the computer. little clicks where they loop cause my kicks are too big!

no way. i luurv being able to elastic band notes and drag and nudge and stuff. really useful when i'm trying to turn a crap keyboard performance into a 'convincing' guitar emulation on the z, since i lurv doing fake real stuf. that'd drive me buggy on a h/w
