Does it really matter if I connect my powered speakers to Main Out or Control Room Out on my mixer?
I've just read K's response to one of the posts and he suggests connecting speakers to Control Room and use Main Out for recording devices...

Peace.

I just tried both connections. When I use Control Room outs they're not pre-EQ, just for the info...

How come when I have my monitors connected to Main Outs and I have all faders at Unity (0db) the output is much louder then when I have them connected to Control Room Outs with the faders also set to Unity and the Control Room knob at (Unity? Right in the middle when it clicks...) I have to twist that knob all the way to max to achieve the same amount of loudness...

Peace.

because maybe your c-r control is passive, and can only attenuate the signal. that would why unity is at the max position.just a guess though.

Learn something new every day. I'm relocating my monitor jacks as I speak. And I thought PFL was an acronym for the NFL's preseason. Hard to keep it all straight.

I'm hoping that changing my monitors to run from the control room outs will make the difference in my tunes. I mean, what else could it be?

dont connect your main monitors to the main L/R out. get a switching box if you want to use more than one pair of monitors & run them off the monitor / control-room outs
