This high frequency large horn cabinet is ideal for a modular system... If you want to get more ambitious, you can go for a modular sytem, with seperate bass, mid and treble cabs... each frequency range has it's own power amp, either a stereo amp, or 2 mono ones. The frequencies are split after the mixer, by an active cross-over (powered), which is best for systems over 500W per per cross-over(frequency).... You can tweak the active cross-over at the venue to 'tune' the sound a bit more...
This cabinet requires a passive cross-over inside to split between the horn and the bullet tweeter..... Check with the supplier for appropriate cross-overs and wiring when you purchase the driver units.

I am making cabinets for my guitar playing kids (14, 10, 10, & 9) to use in their band. These look like good plans. Could they be used directly hooked up to guitar amplifier heads? I have downloaded all the plans which you have put on the site. Can you recommend which ones to use for the guitars?
Thanks.

I tried to send comments about the 1x15" scoop bin, but was unable to I'll add it to this. It is truly a great design, but I am interested in building an 18" version, can anyone give me advice on any changes that would need to be made to the cabinet design? I am planning to use the Celestion BX18 600w 30-300hz speakers, wise choice?
