In this tutorial we show you how to record a song in Garageband with an iMac and NO other equipment.. All you need is an acoustic guitar & headphones and you can record acoustic songs or rock songs.

If you do have an audio interface which you can plug an electric guitar and a microphone into, then the process for creating a song is exactly the same as shown here, but you would simply follow this tutorial & record guitar & vocal from the audio interface inputs rather than using the built in Mac microphone & you would monitor on headphones from the audio interface headphone socket instead of the built-in Mac headphone output.

This video shows you the complete process from start to finish!
