Can anyone tell me where I can get my hands on the version 4 operating system upgrade for the S900.

I've found a zipfile of the two files I need to write to an Akai formatted floppy, so I gues an alternative would be to find a PC utility that can just copy them to a floppy I formatted in the S900.

All suggestions welcomed ...

And what instructions may they be?

Akai themselves do not have the update onsite, and a call to their UK support merely elicited the terse reply: "Software updates for the S900 are no longer available".

How about a helpful reply next time?

(Adisk4 might be the tool for the job. At least SOMEBODY made a useful contribution)

And yes - your crassness HAS annoyed me!

Come now, H. It's easy to get on the defensive when your knowledge is proved to be a bit shaky.

Nobody wants to hurt anybody's feelings.

Your suggestion about Akaipro.com was misguided, that's all. The S900 OS needs to be written to a DD Akai S900 formatted floppy. the utility in the site can't do that.

Think before you type. Especially if it could be inconsiderate or hurtful ...

but it's too late once you submit.Hell
my ancestry is mostly brit anyway and
