We all have to start somewhere. And there is no reason to buy cheap gear that suxx if you can afford semipro.

But I think I know what botters you and I'm thinking in much the same way. What will the art of music become to if everybody get to play around with pro gear. And what's worse get out pro sound not even knowing what they're doing?

well fartmaker, by your name, you sound like a high school kid.. let me tell you, im in high school, and i would never have the audacity to claim that i am better merely because i am older. There are a lot of young people out there making great music, and a lot of old people making shitty music. So it's not just age. Music is no longer available to only rich people. Just about anyone who wants to can make music nowadays. Its wonderful. A lot of music that would not have been produced by large companies is now popular because of the "young" people you are complaining about. Too much talking, not enough thinking, fartmaker. (btw: what the hell kind of a mature name is "fartmaker", anyway)

Spare me the self righteousness, little kid. So many people have the response, "Well, I'm not that way". That response lacks awareness and shows that you just look at things from your own point of view and not from a perspective that you obviously lack.

The truth is, most high school kids into music are doing it to be cool, do drugs with their buddies, and to get chiks. The last one, I could go with, but the first two, forget it. For every young Satriani, there are 1000's of Kurt Cobains who can't even tune their fucking guitars!!

I think thats totally useless.
Isn't it obvious to everybody that there's some good and a lot of crappy musicians in every age catagory, and isn't it quite understandable that anyone who's into music dreams of being a rock-star
(or a intelligent techno-star in my case (hi aphex))?
Of course there's a lot of people overestimating theyre posibilities in music,or any other field for that matter, but what's the harm in that?
