Im looking for a new synth and have narrowed it down to the two mentioned,I love the sounds and price of the Korg but was wondering if any owners find the 2 Multitambral limiting ? with the price of the Roland dropping so theres not much difference. Any Ideas ?

I thought I was sold on the Roland awhile back, however when I actually got my hands on one for awhile I found the sounds a bit lacking for my taste. Anyway, along comes the MS2000 and I checked it out, much closer to the thick sounds I was expecting. Very good. On the other hand, the Roland is built sturdier, the Korg is a bit cheezy in the feel-of-knob department whereas the Roland is quite sturdy.

The JP has 2 oscillators you can combine, and then you can layer 2 patches on top of each other, so it's sort of like 4-part. But I don't think its sounds are all that versatile; there's a sameness to them after awhile.

2 outputs does indeed suck donkey balls in public places... BUT c'est la vie... its STILL a damn nice synth.. ;)
