I am new to this board, and judging from a lot of the posts on here, there isn't a lot of really good vibes here, but this is worth a shot. If you want to flame me, please waste your time somewhere else. If you can help, I would really appreciate it. Anyway, I have been discussing the Devilfish mods with Robin in Australia through the e-mail ever since I got my TB about a year and a half ago. I am going to be sending it to him for the mods (and to have my switches replaced) in the next couple of months (as soon as I finish saving up the bones for the mods). What I would like to know though is if anyone on here has played with one. i realize there are very few of them, but i would assume someone on here has some experience. I love the Plastikman sounds and the radical filtering that is possible with the Devilfish, but I would like to get some kind of firsthand account about what this instrument does. Feel free to post or e-mail me. Thanks for the help.

It can basically do anything. Richie only uses the devil fish in 4 songs he's ever produced. He usually just uses the normal 303's.

To _
Rich used the Devilfish in FAR MORE THAN 4tracks!!!!!!!
try ALL OF MUSIK
ALL BUT MAYBE 2TRACKS IN ReCyled Plastick
And ALOT of SheetOne

As far as the "Normal" 303's he used back in the Fuse
Circuit Breaker days, with elongated acid lines
I'm not tryin to be a dick, but its just sad to see
his tracks hyped as if a "Normal 303" was doing that
All of his tracks are simple, just run through his Serge
or the Filter box that Fred Giannelli made for him.
Youd be surprised how a Fart would sound coming through
that shit! His studio is so pimp he doesnt have to try
all that hard to make the shit he does.
Ever hear "Sickness"or"Spastik"
808's and a Serge
Sickness one 808
Spastik one 808 doubled up, for the BassDrum intro
he used 606 808 and 909 BassDrums
And the 909Cymbals run through the Devilfish for
the detuned swirlie effects that go colliding into the 808 Claps
If you are into Plastikman check out"Oldskool" on Sheet One the vinyl edition
It is BY FAR HIS BEST TRACK!!!!!

Thanks to those of you that responded to the devilfish post. It does not seem like anybody has actually played one, which was what I was originally asking, but the information is helpful nonetheless =P. To NOTEVEN - I would really like to discuss Plastikman with you. i have been listening to his stuff since Sheet One, have read quite a few interviews with him, and really love what he does. Where did you get your information from as far as what he uses on his tracks. I would be very interested in finding out similar information on him and other artists. I have seen some gear lists, but nothing that I would say is too legit. E-mail me.

to "noteven". Well, you sound like you know alot, but really you don't. I live 5 minuits from rich, see him every other day, I know exactly what is in the minus studio, exacly what he uses, and what is used on every track. He lives on 530 Walker rd. Windsor, Ont. His home phone is (519) 253-0**3. I'm not putting the middle 2 numbers, cause some fools will call him. His cell phone is (519) 563-4**8. He lives across of the tim hortons on the corner of wyandotte and walker. He lives in the grey old printing factory just behind the via rail station for windsor. He's driving a silver bmw, and sold his blue percidia to his bro, matt. I could keep going on and on to prove to you I know him well. But I won't. So to all the people on this page, they probably think you're a smart guy knowing what rich uses in his tracks, but I look at you like a fool. It's a good laugh when people on this page think they know all, but don't know dick. So next time you think of writing something about rich on here. Make sure you know what the fuck you're talking about BEFORE you post it. Because I will correct anything you fuck up on. And YES he only uses the devil on about 4 tracks. That's it. I know.

d)lenny e) fred gianelli f)Brittaney g) that chink computer kid h) someone trying to get Spaz(richs cat) in the ass i)in love with math j) hopeless or k) all of the above.
