if any one is interested in getting thier music on a vinyl we can do it for you, costs are: about $8.50 US for 1 record with 2 minuets of sound, additional minuets are about $2.50 US each and additional records are about $7 US each.

these prices are only approximate, for exact prices change these prices in New Zealand Funds into your local currency:
1 record with 2 min : $20 NZ, extra min $5 NZ, extra record $15 NZ

if your interested just email me.
cheers - Dominic

It's hard to get one-off's of a vinyl... most places make you order like 500 of em. Though the price is high, it may be worth it for a one-time thing.

question: how durable are your vinyls? I have some battlewaxes that have stood up to tons of abuse and some that sound like shit after an hour of practicing. It would only be worth it to me if yours were really durable.

20 minutes each side? So a full vinyl would be $8.50 + (38 x $2.50) = $103.50 US? And are those additional vinyls $7 each flat or do we have to pay additional minutes on those, too?

I could find 40 minutes of samples I'd love to scratch, easily. I could find about a hundred bucks, too....

dude you can get a 12" from richard simpson, dub plate style, for $40.

and for just another say 300 youd have 100 records

20 minutes on a 12 is gonna sound like SHIT unless its 10 per side

These guys know what they're talking about. And especially for scratch uses. The grooves will be too close together. You want big, deep grooves...that combined with being cut onto a heavy steel reinforced dub plate will make for rock solid performance on a SL1200. Like a Weeble. They'd wobble but they won't fall down...

if you wanted on record with 40 minuets of samples I should be able to get you a discount...

they are pretty durable, they last about 5000 plays... as for scratching them, I'm unsure as I not actually a DJ, I'll have to take my test record to a DJ some where and see what he thinks.

if you wanted a single record full of your own music I could probably get it for much cheaper than $100.

but I hadn't really expected many people to want whole records...rather they could purchase sounds on part of a record and other people would pay for the rest of it and then make bunch of records

I also tryed to set if up so that getting the records wouldn't cost too much more than buying a record from a shop, here in New Zealand records are about $20 a pop, ($8.50 US is about $20 NZ)

so I figured that $30 - $40 NZ for a record with on of your (4 - 6 minute) tracks wasn't too bad, if you just want samples you scratch then you could probably fit heaps into just 2 min...

how much are records over there in UK and US?

anyway...local guy in LA..richard simpson, will do a 12" for $40. not the best quality in the world but functional
