E-mail you? How? I guess any analoge / VA synth would contribute but you really ought to specify your budget... Virus/Nova/SH101/JP's... there's so much you can choose from but if this would be your first you might want to consider multiple parts / have you a sequencer? etc. Maybe you want to start off with s/w....

Reason? Fuck that piece of garbage. Reaktor!!!, but then again...maybe not. Goa trance is shite anyhow, and deserves the shite sounds most use. Get some real dynamics. There's more to life than trance.

Reaktor is definitley good - but if you want lots
of power and hands on experience. Nord Lead
2 all the way.

natives FM7 would be great methinks, VERY good log drums on it too   - sci-fi length pads, leads, trance chops etc..

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

I'll agree..

Reason is cool if you're just messing around, or if you use the Rex player ALOT. Right now im just finding that it makes a decent sample player..ive got drum samples loaded into the REdrum, and oodles of samples in the NN19...If you could get Reason, some samples, and a hardware synth..you could rewire reason into cubase and use it with hardware..that woud seem pretty cool..

Reaktor is really cool on the softsynth side as well..if you're a newbie, that may daunt you though..
