I am not a doctor, but I wonder if Bush's speech impediment might be the result of years of excessive drinking. Alcohol poisening having damaged part of the speech center in his brain.
"This is your president, this is your president's brain on drugs." It would be funny if the best argument against the legalization of drugs is our president's own apparent brain damage.

Well, the guy said it upmteen times during his state of the union. The sad thing is that you know he says that word to his staff every fucking day and NO ONE will tell him. WTF??.... [sigh]

And I agree about the clapping thing. I'm sure many people are turned off to that speech for that very reason. It's silly, pointless, and extremely aggravating to watch. Of course, I watched it anyway because we're going to war.
