I went out at the weekend and bought myself one of these ..

http://www.diy.com/bq/product/product.jhtml?PRODID=178425&paintCatId=&CATID=182706

May I say it was worth every single penny. Mowing the lawn is now leisure time, not chore time. No more electric cables to have to pull out the way, frigging around with extension leads..etc.. its truly liberating. I'd choose petrol over electric any day.

I cant wait until my lawn needs another cut. In fact if anyone wants me to do theirs then let me know.

self-propelled!! - lol!

The best for a laugh is a Ride-on!! - me mums got one and it is seriously speedy in high gear!... you have to lean-out going round corners like in sidecar racing sometimes to stop it toppling over(after a few beers) - But watch out for low branches when passing under a tree - ouch!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. There was a story once of some geezer in devon. He took his sit on lawn mower to the pub in the afternoon, only expecting to have a quick jar before returning to carry on mowing his lawn. The police nicked him at midnight going down this country lane, drunk in charge of a lawn mower. I can imagine that was a hi octane car chase for the pigs !
