ok.... the coding for the sales cart is getting there. The worldpay account is all working on TEST mode ok, and there's just a few more things to do to the cart to get it all ready for switch-on....

so - comps - perhaps you guys would like to put some together?

we'd need to make some sort of on-line contracts which can be d/loaded for the people involved, that's easy enuff.

waddya think? - different genre's - etc - we can promote them via some flash banners on the site frontpage, and the site comes in at listing return number 3 to 5 in google out of 8,000,000,000 pages if you search google for 'dance music' so.... why not!... you never know!

sorry it took so long, but i had the 'disk upgrade' stuff all done 4 or 5 weeks ago then realised after a chat with Worldpay that we'd have to go thru a whole re-application for setting up a second 'sales-page' for the CD's - so i re-coded all the sales section so it can handle multiple inputs for different sales tasks.... but it's almost there now.

hell yes!

We already have some some compilations, enough for two CDs if my memory serves me right... not the most recent stuff though, more like 1-2 years old...

but it's gotta be proper tho this time. I've got some grime being sorted out for a uk urban comp, i thought mebbe the signalrunners guys could sort out a commercial trance album or 2 (mebbe one ambient trance & one '2am trance').

trouble is the flipping US Dollar isnt worth a toss now, if we use dollars for selling 'em it's kinda standard for global sales, but it's going to look expensive for yanks if we set a price that equates to a decent price in Euro's/Sterling to cover expenses and return some decent percentage to artists - it's almost 2 bucks to a pound now.

Mebbe we'll have to also setup a EURO selection for sales, but then people will see 'US dollars' and they might think "Oh, if i pay in US dollars I'll get it cheaper after conversion"

damn it ! - see we thought mebbe a tenner for an album, but that equates to 20 USD almost... which seems alot for a CD comp of unsigned music... but that way we can take off a few of quid to cover the sales-system charges & expenses, and split the remaining between the artists.

anyways, we'll need a decent selection of a few genre's.

I meant I have nothing to contribute except my ears and my good wishes for a project like that.

Well we did get a long way through a compilation, but towards the end it kinda fizzled out for one reason or another.

WOuldn't take too much work to resurrect it tho.
