Will the White Stripes deserve their place alongside the great bands/artist of the past 50 years or are they just re-hashing old blues with their own rhythms? I really like their new album.

fookin' shite, get a bassist- stop ruining every riff with that bloody awful contrived whiney voice, get a decent drummer- sorry just my opinion- the white stripes epitomize the very worst of this throwback american sound...

no, in a nutshell... but another duo like The Cramps, YES - there's a difference, but i cant really say what it is. Something to do with the smell of rock&roll.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

you dont know the mighty CRAMPS?... man, you're in for a treat. My faves are oldies, 'Goo Goo Muck' and 'Save it Baby Save it' - especialy the guitar solo which rules all guitar solos!! - lol

yeah but no but the stripes consist of 2 people. I watched their gig at glastonbury and they drew the biggest crowd on the day and had the strongest stage presence and best vibe with the least amount of people on stage. They got to get points for that no?
