I wouldn't worry too much about it. This could well just be paranoia on the US's part after they realised that other parts of the world aren't too happy with them and that these unhappy parties have access to weapons. And you'd have to be one ludicrously stupid creature to initiate a nulclear war.

But then again, this is the same country that decided to go ahead with the first nuclear tests even though they knew there was a chance of THE EARTHS ATMOSPHERE INGNITING!

i'm really starting to think we have to kill ourselves to save ourselves. Like, somehow we've gotten so entrenched into this little mortal world with its egos and desires and greed, that the only way for the universe to balance its perspective is for us to annihilate that which we created.

that's right, we created.

then we're back to square one again, but will we have really learned anything this go 'round that way?
