When is Novation planing to release the SUPERNOVA II? Making the
One we have or plan to purchase obsolete as in drum stations, bass stations?

It seems like before you know it, Tthe synth manufacturers release a second
Version instead of giving us updates that work.

Sorry for being a cynic.

This is a dilemma we've all been through, no doubt. We
buy the latest gadget, only
to have it replaced by a new
model next week. The real
question is, will the unit do what I need it to do now?
I bought a Nord I, and the following month Clavia released the Nord II. Did it make my Nord I obsolete?
No. I still use it all the
time, and get new sounds out of it continually. Yes, there will be a SNII, which
will certainly out-perform the original. Roland, et al, will steal Novation's design
and release their own cheezy
rip-off. When will this be? A year? Month? Just think of all the great noise you can get out of it during that time, and *after.* Go
for it! (this is not a paid
testimonial).

New sounds will be included in OS3...

I've been really getting into sync skew...it's where some additional nastyness can be found....

Hey if anyone has some new sounds I would like to hear them 2.

Based on what I've heard about the SNV, it would cut anything I would need it for. Especially when OS3 hits, I wouldn't worry about what comes next. The only problem is that there is still no Canadian distributor for Novation, and I wish I could at least see one of these fantastic machines, and not have to deal with a US distributor 1500 miles away and with exchange rates being the way they are.
The unit seems great, and I hope they bring this fantastic synth to Canada. If gear does what you want it to do, then don't worry about a new version that makes yours obsolete. It either cuts the gig, or it dosen't.
