well, look at the available options out there for midi analog synths.....i think the original Basstation is excellent value at it's new price of 220 pounds.....the Super basstation is going to start at the same retail price as the original basstation started...449.....That is quite alot really, when you consider that it will buy you a multitimbrel all singing & dancing synth....but then I think ALL new synth gear is madly overpriced....

The basstation is a very versatile mono-synth.....I can tell you.... send it through a 10K Turbosound rig at a rave and it really shifts air.....do not underestimate this little plastic synth

SO WHATS IT'S MIDI CAPABILITY LIKE?
CAN YOU TWIDDLE THE KNOBS AND RECORD
THEM TO THE MIDI CHANNEL? AT 1/2 THE PRICE
ITS MUCH BETTER VALUE.I WANT A GOOD BASS
SOUND FOR MY SETUP. THE CS1X HASN'T GOT
A REALLY HEAVY BASS SOUND IF YOUR USING A
DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE ON THE 1ST 4 CHANNELS...FORGET THE XG BASS SOUNDS.

the db9 is a real good bass box, it is real analog....and much more harsh & upfront than the novation....as a bass synth its very deep, mostly all these modules were sold on a 303 tip....well it's not too good at doing that, but as a bassline box...very heavy !

I bought the original Basstation rack not knowing it was supposed to do 303 emulation. I'm not really interested in hype, and I never tried to use it that way. I think it's an extreemly fun little box! When the new one comes out, I'm sure I'll pick one up. If you've played with a juno 106 or 60 you know what a difference a sub-oscillator makes. My juno kicks my mini moogs butt when it comes to bowel rattleing bass. Of course, my little custom modular buries them both. But if you are just talking about useful, fun, relitively inexpensive bass, I don't think you'll go wrong with the new basstation. If you don't like it , I'll buy it from you. : )

YES WELL I HAVE THE NEW SUPER BASS STATION
AND IT'S WELL 'ARD. IT'S NOT A PERFECT 303
REPLICA BUT IT DOES A WHOLE TON MORE THAN
A 303 EVER COULD. 200 PRESETS,ALL CAN BE MANIPULATED,ALL CAN BE ARPEGGIATED(100 ARPEGGIATOR PATTERNS) ITS A BEAUTY.

Kid303: Try to not use Caps Lock! Yer giving me a headache... ;)

Um , Kilo, What will the price be for the basstation after the "super"?

Which one do you think is the best (808/909 sounds): Drumstation or Raveolution 309?

Bye bye

Björn
