When it comes to doing drum and sample sequencer tricks and maybe digital audio, can laptop perform well? Iknow its going to cost much more this route, and what kind of specs should i look into the laptops to get away with something like cubase VST or Logic Audio. I'll probably use it for other application s too, like the net, games, etc. Thanks...

yup........ cakewalk songstation, or home studio are ok.... they will work ok on a laptop..... all you need is a midi out
