Digital has it's uses. I love my sampler. Most used piece in my rig right now. But I'm using it to sample my mini and my microwave. I also love to play my mini live. And no sequencer using any sort of code (MIDI, SMPTE, etc.) will keep up with CV. It can't. Simple physics. Same goes for a decent modular. My DAT and my minidisc don't sound as "thick" as my Akai 1/4", but digital is clean and it is flexible, and it is convenient. "Better" is certainly a subjective opinion. Use a knife for cutting (or a laser if you can afford it), but chopsticks are still the most elegant way to eat.

Waldorf do both analogue pulses & digital microwaves
I use both. The microwave makes the most complex pads
I've ever programmed and the pulse has the edge with
its fast envelopes..................................

Analogue & Digital the perfect combination
