Hi all,

I dream of a setup where I can mix in my PC the signals from VST, softsynths and, last but not least, a few external gears. The whole thing in realtime of course. The mix would be done either in VST(why not?) or in the mixer of the card...

I know I can do it with Pulsar, but I wouldn't use all the synth part so It's a bit of a waste. Creamware released the Lunar for this purpose, but it's too expensive for what it is and the mixer looks a bit like a toy...

So my questions are:
I don't know if I can do it with the DSP factory, can I?
Is there others card that can do it?

Thanks

I don't see why, I can already run Reaktor and VST on the same machine using DX divers.
By upgrading the PC and getting a good soundcard I could mix the reaktor outputs, let say 2, 2 outgears and the usual things. This makes 6 more dataflow to handler by the PC as the rest is done by the card. This is not a bit deal indeed.
I know setup like that running with Pulsar, with a lot of flexibility. I am just looking for an audio card only (no synth and so on) that can do it as well.
I have sended a mail to creamware asking them more about the Lunar capacities, maybe Creamware are the only one doing that.

well, if you think your pc can do it you could try to route the reaktor OUt of the hoon's card l/r out, or try splitting the drivers and using 6 outs and record to two... i think this is why i'm getting you mixed up with ville who's trying to do the same on giga sampler, he got the via based pc and gets pops when recording back to two outs that are also playing back... not sure wether it's the chipset or what.. i dont suffer this in vst with the hoon.. it can playback ok & record a new pass on the same pair of outs
