Has any heard about this new Yamaha sampler. It's a cross between a sampler, tone generator, 42 track sequencer, and drum machine. Apparently it has SCSI as standard, digital I/O, separate outs, 64 voices, up to 64 meg, an AWM2 synth, and a ribbon controller. I saw this on an American site where they said it will sell for $1500 (us).

Try http://www.teklab.com/~a3k/ref for more info on the SU700. It's got a spec. sheet translated from the Japanese there, plus pics. Could be a very cool machine if it's OS is well designed.

anyone out there know when this will actually be out? the Harmony Central blurb said september. guess they missed that one...

also, does anyone know if it will do resampling (like the A3000)?
