I was lucky enough to have done so. A very nice, unassuming man he was. He will be missed especially in my neck of the woods, as the company made its home here for a long while. Unfortunately it took the nitwits who edit the local paper 5 days to realize he was dead.

heh, same around here, we had a local guitar hero die in a fire recently, daily paper had a report on the front page, failed to mention 'who' he was even though most people into music/bands around here knew exactly who he was.

typical 'local' paper run by 'journalists' who don't know shit about the local area.

just tonight i saw a guy renting a MOOG dvd at my video store. he had a dbx 160a and an UREI mixer (no, i didnt know they existsed either) fresh and unpacked in his arms too.

(and no, i'm not inventing it either)

The local paper finally got around to doing a piece about him on Friday. At least the music critic remembered.
