So the other day I heard a sampled kick match the power off a 909 kick, it was passing through eq and some compression within logic audio and cut just as nicely through the mix as the dry 909… I c some very experienced producers ending up using just samplers and some outboard and today (thanks to a new pc) I just discovered that there r some really bad ass kicking samples for free allover the net…so should one just sell the lot and and buy some fancy outboard, as it seams that the net can produce every sound u would ever want and then there’s the convenience and versatility of doing everything within your sampler.. perhaps just keep/buy a monster like a arp2600 to filter, create and sample w… not that I c myself doing this at this point but it's and intresting consept.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

Yeah - some can be quite pricey tho. Unfortunately i'm no closer to building my controller box. I've been real busy. But i will definately do it soon. But even so its a case of sampler verses the world control box or not. Im so sick of arguing the too about wheter a puter can replace a hardware unit - I mean i recently upgraded by computer to a monster system...think i'll trust it with my samples? ha! Step up Yammy a3k.....

Volume, Pan, and any two of Resonance (note on Q), Filter cutoff, LFO>Pan level, LFO>VCF level, LFO>VCA level at the same time.

thing is though you can use the same box for sequencers ect.
