Ok. I know it's hella-mega-ultra-hyper LAME to try to be like other artists. There is already a lot of posts out there that read " I really really really want to make progressive trance, how..." or " that timberland makes fat beats, tell me how i can be like him.". But i can't figure out How the hell did grooverider make the bassline to "where's jack the ripper"
I'm sorry i can't post a audio snippet as the computer i'm on right now doesnt have a cd-rom
But i had an idea of a bass line that had elements similar to that b-line, but i can't figure out how to do it.

Practicly everyone who likes breaks , or dn'b has heard that song at least once. So if u could share how it's done , i'm sure you'll get some good karma points

damn thats a dope song. an example for those of us (like me) who pile too much sound in one song.

now if I could just get this lowpass filter out of my ass

er, uh..ahem!

Yeah it's the original i'm talking about.

So to recap,...
Two sqaure waves , one an octave down.
mixed with
one sqare wave.
through a high pass filter,
With envelope mod of the cut off
and velocity mod of that envelope
overdrive to buggery
And roberto is is your father's brother's uncle's roomate's proctologist.

Am i mising something here?
Is the evnvalop inversed ?, i.e, the sound goes from high freq to low then back to high again does it not?.
And where are the filter tweeks? I can't tell what was hand operated and what was envelope driven.
