Subject: "Where's Jack The Ripper" bassline
Original Message Date: 02-Oct-01 @ 02:27 PM - Groove rider's little song
I'm sorry i can't post a audio snippet as the computer i'm on right now doesnt have a cd-rom
But i had an idea of a bass line that had elements similar to that b-line, but i can't figure out how to do it.
Practicly everyone who likes breaks , or dn'b has heard that song at least once. So if u could share how it's done , i'm sure you'll get some good karma points

So to recap,...
Two sqaure waves , one an octave down.
mixed with
one sqare wave.
through a high pass filter,
With envelope mod of the cut off
and velocity mod of that envelope
overdrive to buggery
And roberto is is your father's brother's uncle's roomate's proctologist.
Am i mising something here?
Is the evnvalop inversed ?, i.e, the sound goes from high freq to low then back to high again does it not?.
And where are the filter tweeks? I can't tell what was hand operated and what was envelope driven.
