right the atc-1. I played with one a long time ago. It was used at GC. I liked the sound, but for a mono synth. The price is out of control. I agree, if you can find an expander for under $1500, and I know a few places that can track one down, go for it. If you need any help finding vinatage gear go to "analog mudular systems".

I got my mks-80 for $800 there. Very profesional and they have everything or can get it quick.

I'll second the Expander line, or a real Mini. Might even think about some MOTM units for that price. Nice link. Good porn!!!!

Well, I got it a few months ago and it just sat there... I didnt give the poor thing a chance. I'm getting similar programming out of the Z1 (massive modulation capabilities). not anolog but, hey. I didnt like the bass-line type sounds I was getting out of the X. not to fast of an attack. Like I said though, I didnt spend to much time with it.

As for the atc-1 I heard the filter steps real bad, Is this the case with the se-1 and omega series?

seriously mate, a pulse could be right up your street, like knowa said. Not the nicest thing in the world to program (not bad either, just not nice .....much nicer than the Z1 anyways), but its a thick, chunky sounding piece of equipment.

180-230 squids s/h.

i guess they go for a lot of money lately.. plus you'd need the midi>cv.. deal with tuning it..

..but the knobs are the better part of an inch across. the modulation section is flexible and easy to use, allowing you to route any of three sources to any of five destinations and route a second group via the mod wheel.

and it sounds good.. wide ranges and smooth action because of the large knob radius. the sawtooth on mine sounds grittier than an ms-20 i used, but ? i've only met one of each.

i was actually contemplating a synth with a huge panel of 6" dial/knobs earlier today. that's really good with me.
