I was just wondering what the latest news and spec is for the new OS3?

Just another thing: Having the best synth means nothing if you canīt rely on it, and thatīs what is happening to me... Did they talk about gigs? How do they suppose Iīm going to use the supernova at live sessions if the arpeggiator fails randomly? The fact is that OS3 is necessary to be finished as soon as possible becuse there are things that need to be fixed up; novation doesnīt have the obligation to give extra features with new releases of the OS, but its of course oblied to give to the users a reliable machine, and to fix the bugs as soon as possible, instead of thinking about new filters, morphing and all that stuff.
Cheers.

Hurry up, OS2 is beginning to really irk me off!

good. It's the operating system that seems to be
letting me down pretty much all the time. This occurs
in the way of hanging notes, arpeggiator patterns that
won't stop (ever...), notes sometimes not triggering,
patches sometimes stopping dead.Power is nothing
without control (Pirelli ad I believe.) and on the same
token features etc. don't really add up to fuck all
without some degree of reliability. The last thing the
Supernova needs is another filter or F/X facility, there
is enough of that already, just make the damn thing
do what it says on the box. If I can't get it to work
it'll go back to the shop (and they'll no doubt send it
back to you) and buy myself a Roland Jupiter 8. They
work you know...

I would like to tell you my idea about OS release.
1. Bugfixes should be released FIRST (OS2.1)
2. New functions should be released after the synth is working fine.
Everyone who works in the software buissness knows how difficult and time consuming it is to develop new release. Look at blizzard or any other of the big "SHARKS". They have lernt that release dates arent a month, but a season or even year.
Im not trying to be a pain in the ass, but in the future it would be better if you could anounce a realistic release date, or none at all (sometime in 99)
Thanks for a GREAT synth, and keep up the good work!

We are adding significant new features...Great Rev Alg's dont take 5 minutes!
Sorry again for the delay but we will try to get it out ASAP. I will advise as soon as I have a realistic release date.

Hopefully I will post during easter....Keep an eye out!!
I will let you know of course when I have done it.
Final version is still sheduled as planned Mid-Late April. Yes I will post the beta anyway unless you'd prefer to wait for the full version?
Sounds will also be posted on release of final version.
Cheers,
Phill@Novation
