Which is the best synth for those smooth deep sub-bass sounds? Anyone?

yup... fm rules for speed garage.... the FM square wave double oscillator bass, detuned, with sometimes alot of fast but shallow pitch modulation, that is a very popular sound.... as well as that analof S700 type sound.... heavey chorus type thing.......

Trade secret - get a Casio VZ-1 and a PhD in programming the Casio VZ-1. Alternatively Yamaha TX81z, Casio CZ-1 or 1000, Korg Poly 800 or Roland SH-101 can all bust cones. You can get some big but strange basslines out of the synth section on a Casio FZ-1 if you can be arsed. If you just want bass without hassle get a 101.
