heh, theres a closet to the right, not shown in pic. has my bass, a GK head with hartke cab, a turntable (supposedly for sampling, but...) all my software, basic studio stuff etc.

Im diggin the celtic designs and the way they fuck with the light. It is still a little to clinical looking

and I need more wall foam!

just kiddin. do need to do the ceiling tho

errata - you use that mirage at all?

tell me this - if it's a dsk-8 - if you play a looped note, then edit the loop points while it's playing, does the loop jitter all over the sample in a most amusing fashion?

it's dsk-1, you can't adjust edit points in real time. And I haven't used it in a long time. I have TON'S of old noize samples for that thing... maybe I'll crack it out sometime.

hehe, you should hear my 12-yr-old Mackie 1202 nowadays. Must have some blown caps or dried out solder joints cause it has a symphony of hums that are frankly fun to mix in and of themselves.

Trying to decide if I should just go mixerless, or get a used digital thingy (lightpipe joints are nice with a 2408)

psy, if youre all native, and 2 preamps and 8 in 8 out analog will do ya (plus spdif, adat)

try the 828mkii, man. So far, aside from it not working with wavelab, Im impressed!

also check out Mackie's new ONYX Series (1220, 1620 and 1640), analog mixers but new preamps & FireWire stuff.

i'd be up for listening to some ground hum (ohmm) to some snappy pys-beats.

that might make a nice concept album....pure minimalism = beats + ground-hum.
