There is a special sound which I am looking for that which I have heard in many techno/dance tunes. It is somewhat hard for me to describe, but the closest thing I've heard to is and orchesrta hit, but an orchestra hit gets kinda muddy when you play chords.(well at least on my CS1x) This is crazy, but when I really try to come a with a description of this sound; An ELECTRIC FLOURESCENT STRING-HORN??!!! This sound has definetly been used in a number a dance songs, I wouldn't quite call it as overused as a 303, but the other day i even heard it on some goddam Revlon-makeup commercial or perfume or something. If anyone could shed any light as to what module or modules might contain this sound, I would be ecstatic.

NO, IT CAN'T BE!!!!!!!! it's gotta be from some synth or
something.....Oh I remebered another clue, it sounds very
much like a Pizicato or whatever. But it's not weak, like
the pizzicato of the XG sounds on the CS1x, It's like a
supercharged Pizzicato or whatever it's called.

I think I know the sound your talking about......There is a sound very similar on the XP-50 its one of the presets under something like pizzicato, but is called bass pizzicato or something like that I remember finding the sound and saying how typical it sounded of the sound i THINK your talking about....I will have a look tonight and let you know the exact name of it!!!

That's that Pizzagogo sound Faithless made big. Supposedly they programmed it themselves on a JD-800, but most people just use the JV1080/XP-50 preset. It is as bad as the 303, especially if it's a repeated descending motif.

YES YES, that is it! thank you. I checked out a faithless
webpage, and heard some REALaudio and it is definitely
the sound. Now, I Don't exactly have a 1000$ to go throw
down for a JV1080 or whatever, but I have been attempting
to create this sound on the CS1x, and I think I've come
pretty darn close. I layered 3 regular XG pizzicatos,
each playing at a different octave, then threw in some reverb, delay and chorus. I'm pretty pleased with this
sound, although It still feels like its missing a little
fire. Any advice here?

Throw away the Cs1x and buy a synth or sampler.
Make new sounds.

I'm over here trying to answer that question, and remembered why I'm here... I, too, seek a sacred sound, except it's like a rotton, eerie, heroin, flute used in a drum and bass track called, you guessed it, "Secret Sound" Any ideas?
