does anybody know of any programs that could work on an older Macintosh?I once read of someone using a Mac SE!(yes I'm a cheapskate!)

There are tons of sequencers that will run on 68k macs. Nearly any non-audio version will work. Vision 2.0 ran fine on my old Mac IIsi. So did Logic 2.6.

A friend of mine is using a Mac IIci, Logic Audio 2.0, and an Audiomedia II card. Rock solid with tons of midi tracks and 4 tracks of audio on an old Seagate external scsi HD. Total cost for the whole setup was right around $1000 USD.
