I got to record my very first Patch as a sysex string.
I used the Sysex Editor in Cubase to export it.
When i want to request it back ,will this work(i know i have to change the Midi)as a sysex file,or should i record it as a Midi file?!

I want to upgrade the sounds on my Nova, and i want to save the Patches i,ve already used in my toons.
I,m just going to save individual Patches, then dump them back overwriting patches i don,t need.

Have i overlooked anything?

Thanx DJ Rossiaud.

you can do midi but it is hard to keep track of them as each packet is a seperate sysex message. I use the calkwalk editor because I can just send individual patches to and from the nova no problem and label them individualy. what i do is load sysex patches to the b bank and demo them, then i copy the ones i like to the "a" bank and bring a new bank to the "b" bank. you can set where the new patches are written in the global section on the nova.
