recently, a friend gave me a kracked copy of Waldorf Attack to try out. It looked really interesting, but i didnt want to pay for it to find out it sucks (you know how software is, you open the package, you can't return it) But anyway, its really cool software, but its got a problem. It has this annoying "crackle" on every sound. It sounds almost like volume distortion, but that's not it, ive adjusted every parameter, and even on a sound with a really long attack and low peak levels, a more "synth" sound, it still crackles, a sort of buzzing. What i want to know is, if i go buy the software, is the actual store bought version going to crackle too? because if it is, then there is no way im going to buy it! But if the retail version doesn't, then im going to definately pick it up. its very very cool software but the crackle makes it unusable.

It's funny how people assume cracks don't work just because they're cracks. They're the same programs, just with the copy protection removed. If they don't work, they just don't work. I've never seen one that appears to work but outputs crap. Maybe I'm lucky.
