S 2000 or so...just to play my AKAI sample cd-sets....
I've heard a lot of talk about no good bottom end....To sharp at the edges...
We're talking classical instruments here...I have these cd's with orch sounds...top quality...but due to the fact that gigasampler doesen't support that many good soundcards yet,(the soundblaster is not good enough for a start) I thougth I'd get an akai as a playback sampleplayer.....
Opinions?

It is a great device when using with computer software like mesa-pc.
Btw. the internal hardware is almost the same as in the s-3000xl.

anywayz, djmarty...What kind of music do you make??
Does the S 2000 exist as a sampleplayer only?
How's the S 1000 for such a purpose?
And finally.....what is the max expansion on the s 2000 and s 1000????
