I have an emu esi - 32 ( I know...not an akai...anyways)
I cant get the vcf (tuhe cutoff, Q, filter, etc etc ) to work...I dont know what I am doing wrong...no matter How I adjust the amounts I notice no change....what is wrong?

The Cutoff sets the default cutoff value (obviously) and Q sets resonance. The filter is one of those ones that will not self ocilate but reduce the level of the sound the higher the Q is set. The thing is, the cotoff value wont do much unless you mess with the Envelope Amt setting. This varies the effect of the filters envelope on the cuttoff frequency. If you set the envelope amt to -100, you will get the deepest fiter effects. Negative values will sweep the filter down and positive values will sweep the filter up. See? If you set the cutoff to the greatest value, then set the Env amt to -100, when the patch is played it will sweep the cutoff value right down from the highest to the lowest value. OK? If not, tough. hehe.
