Is it true that drums / breakbeats sound better on Akai samplers than Emu's because of its more upfront sound?

its pretty much the same for both makes. Obviously a top end emu would be better that a basic Akai and vica-versa. I do think however for beat intensive music i.e. drum n bass the Akai does have a cleaner harder sound and appears more rythmically accurate.
