got to say ,but you've already worked
that out i'm sure
i have a s3000xl and had the same
problems in the end i just purchased an
old but still in the box external 2x cd
drive , an old mac one (2-4x) will do
the trick -be carefull as many drives
will not respond to the akai especially
faster ones and i think that may be your
problem-also and correct me if i am
wrong but the apple system is resposible
for opening the cd rom file and may not
respond to an akai formated disk and
associated files.
make sure you have the latest version of
mesa-get it from the akai web site
or get some other sample editing
software like peak
mesa seems to have a habit of corrupting
samples with digital clicks and pops
especialy stereo files it just fucked a
bunch of my own samples i had been
working on for ages-
