This kinda pissed me off mucho although I understand that it's probably my own wrong doing. Read through the manual aswell, but didn't get any further.Has anyone ever encountered this problem before, maybe on another sampler or something?

library of sounds.I loaded them into my
S5000 and then saved them to zip.At this
point I was able to load the sounds into
the MPC.I saved them as .wav format on
the 5000.If you don't have a 5/6000 go
to the shop you purchased it from and
ask to use one on the floor.I do video
production and in my gear lust I have
come across spec sheets for high end
daws(360 systems)and they mentioned a
broadcast .wav format in them.I had no
idea a .wav file wasn't exactly a .wav
file.I've had mad problems trying to get
the .wav files off the web to work so I
gave up a lon

I don't know specifically about the S5K/6K series. However, with the MPC, it requires the header info in the .wav file to be just so. Otherwise, you won't be able to load it.
You'll need to open it in an audio editor that will let you edit the header info. An email that I have from the Akai list says that the header should be set as 44.1 kHz 16-bit BYTESWAP.
If you're on the PC, I believe that Soundforge and Cooledit allow you to do this. On a Mac, there's a shareware program called Soundhack which should allow you to do the same.
